We started Cherry Bomb Farms 3 years ago. I love to cook and my husband loves to taste test but we really enjoy fresh non-processed foods. We have had gardens for forever but after the kids left the nest and there were less mouths to feed on a regular basis we got away from the gardening.
We started going to farmers markets instead and really enjoyed all the fresh produce and the variety we found. I cook a lot with herbs and spices and we have always loved Garlic. We were totally unaware of the immense variety in Gourmet Garlic.
We tried our first gourmet garlic 4 years ago and were hooked! My husband is Mr. Greenjeans and can get anything to grow. So we started with a test plot of 500 plants and have grown to an acre of garlic and around 20 varieties.
We also grow squash, Cinderella pumpkins, black Japanese Futzu pumpkins, Travera French green beans, tomatoes, raspberries and much more.
Our focus is on our gourmet garlic. We started out determined to be Certified Organic and reached our goal this year. We will have a large crop in 2012 of seed garlic. These will be 2” and bigger. You can eat this garlic as well as plant it for yourself or for production of sales. Be sure and pre-order before May of 2012 so you can get some of the large Garlic before it is all sold!
We are at the Spokane Public Market on saturday's starting in September 2012. Come one come all or just buy direct on the website if you are located outside of Spokane. Garlic ships very well!
We are very happy with the Persian Star garlic you sold us. It was very easy to do business with you and our customers tell us, they love it. Thank You! Joe
I got garlic from you in 2011 to plant and we harvested it this August, and I was planning on replanting some and eating some, but we have already blew through all 8 plants so I just bought some at the market from you and had to buy enough to plant again, and enough to last me through the winter. Moral of the story......buy enough to eat as well as plant! Thanks again we love the Carpathian and the Lortz Italian!...Anna
